A local professor has labelled the state government’s decision to abolish new sanctuary zones in the Solitary Islands Marine Park as retrograde and crazy.
Southern Cross University’s Associate Profesor, Steve Smith, says the move defies a worldwide trend to increase sanctuary zones.
