The Newcastle Jets have continued their build-up to the A-League season with a 1-nil victory over the defending premiers – the Brisbane Roar – in Tamworth.
A Ryan Griffiths goal in the 20th minute proved the difference between the two sides, in what was an even contest.
Jets keeper Mark Birighitti was called upon several times to save the day in front of a vocal Scully Park crowd.
