The North Stars’ dream of winning their first Australian Ice Hockey League title in four years has been shattered.
They’ve appeared in nine out of the last 10 deciders, and Kevin Day did his best to try and ensure this one didn’t slip away.
The North Stars had a 2-1 lead in the first period – but couldn’t hold on – Melbourne Ice winning 4-3.
