A man will face Armidale Local Court today after allegedly decapitating a puppy.
It’s alleged the 32-year-old man went to his neighbour’s house in Coronation Street, Glen Innes around 10.30 last night.
When a 17-year-old male answered the door, the 32-year-old walked in and took the puppy.
The police were called and found the body of the puppy on the front step of the 32-year-old’s unit. He was then found at the rear of the property with a shovel.
He was arrested after a struggle with police and faces several charges including committing an act of aggravated cruelty on an animal, stealing property and possessing a prohibited drug.
