Dubbo and Forster Croquet pair Graham Innocent and Ray Vize have taken out the Handicap Golf Croquet State Championships in a close final at Ballina this afternoon.
The team defeated South West Rocks pair Gary Barenthien and John Ball in two games where the lead see-sawed throughout.
It’s sweet victory for Innocent and Vize, who just missed out on the title last year.
“They’re always hard when you’re playing handicap events, especially when you’re a low handicap and all the extra turns you have to give to other players”

The singles competition starts tomorrow in Ballina and Byron Bay.
