A Brisbane Supreme Court judge has sentenced
Kenneth Major to six years jail for the one-punch killing of Merrimac father Api (APPY) Lai (LIE), in February 2010.
Major’s family maintains he’d come to the defence of his sister who’d been grabbed by the victim during a night out in Surfers Paradise.
The jury rejected the self-defence argument.
The 24-year-old will be eligible for parole in 18 months.
