NEWCASTLE FAMILY MOURNS MURDERED SON

The family of a Newcastle man whose body was found in the boot of a burnt out car in Darwin is at a loss to explain his death.
46-year-old Paul John Stamp, who grew up at Lake Macquarie, had been in the Northern Territory for just over a week after his welding job finished in Western Australia.
His body was found on Wednesday afternoon in the boot of the car in the suburb of Winnellie.
His brother Craig has paid tribute to his big brother.
“He had a massive heart, a heart of Phar Lap, but not everybody saw it,” he said.
“He never backs down from anything, that is the problem, that is
one of his attributes,” Mr Stamp said.
“If someone was putting s*** on him he would have a go back,” he
said.
Two people have been arrested over the death, but had not been charged on Friday afternoon.
Paul Stamp’s body will be cremated in Darwin before his remains are flown home for a service in Newcastle.
