It’s a club created by women who have survived breast cancer.
But now, Rainbow Region’s Dragon Boat Club is encouraging more men to join.
They’ve held a “come and try day”, to demonstrate to the community the sport’s health and social benefits.
Organisers say while they still have an active group of women, more men are starting to take it up.
“In the regional areas it’s more of an issue to get men involved, but in the city, certainly many young men are involved in the sport”
