Marcus John Lee will be sentenced next Friday in Newcastle Supreme Court after pleading guilty to the murder of former girlfriend Trisha Cobeanou, whose body was found in the boot of a car in May last year.
A sentencing hearing was held today, in which the court was told Ms Cobbineau was found with a gag in her mouth, duct tape covering her nose and eyes and a plastic bag over her head.
Marcus Lee maintains he went into a rage and blanked out, but doesn’t have any memory of what happened.
