SOUTH WALLSEND ON TOP IN NSW PSSA FOOTBALL KNOCKOUT

South Wallsend Primary can lay claim to having the best schoolgirl football team in New South Wales, after winning the PSSA Knockout.
Southie beat Narooma one-nil in today’s grand final.
In the boys, Biddabah Public from Warners Bay took on Port Macquarie’s Tacking Point in the battle for third, the visitors going up two-nil thanks to Finn Black.
Biddabah hit back with a great volley by Jensen Hunt, but Tacking Point’s Mitchell Stevenson showcased equally impressive skills.
Despite a goal by Riley Brown, Biddabah finished fourth.

Congratulations Southy Girls!!! You are all champions. Big thanks to Miss B and Brad for being super coaches and supporting the girls all the way to the top!
Thanks NBN for supporting local kids sport.
More balanced footage and details of the Hunter’s own Girls State Champions to equal that shown of the Boy’s play off for 3rd position would’ve been even better.
Congrats to southy. Well done to NBN for having the camera there in the first place, for kids sport. I’m sure sure deep down Wayne appreciates it too!
An interested relative called us about the boys game. Nobody called us about the girls. The only reason we knew about it was because someone saw our camera there and called us over. The boys scored five goals. The girls scored one. We do our best to cover these events equally but if we aren’t told in advance, we can’t be there.
