Wauchope’s All Abilities Playground in Bain Park was officially opened today.
The playground is designed to help increase the physical and social opportunities for people of all abilities, and is the first of its kind in the Hastings.
The $215,000 project was funded by the federal government and the Port Macquarie-Hastings Council.
While the $35,000 upgrade to Wauchope Indoor Stadium was also officially opened, providing ramp access to the facility, additional disabled parking and an accessible toilet.
Council also announced more than $50,000 will be put towards access improvement works across the region.
