The word has gone out to the Port Stephens diving community to lend a hand, and help restore one of the area’s best dive sites.
On Sunday, local dive shops and clubs will work together at Halifax Park, trying to clear a sand build-up and sea urchin infestation, thought to have resulted from recent alterations to the Little Beach boatramp.
Their efforts have been buoyed by news the Marine Park Authority will give Port Stephens Council approval, to help move the sand.
