VAN EGMOND EXPECTED TO RETURN FOR W-LEAGUE JETS

The Jets W-League side is expecting Australian international Emily van Egmond, to return from injury for Saturday’s clash with Perth, after missing the one-nil loss to Melbourne.
The coach was happy with his team’s effort, despite the scoreline.
“Only down side for us was right on half time, we let them score through a set play, we should’ve defended better, and we go in it nil-nil at half time and we’re doing ok.”
Van Egmond’s presence will force a reshuffle, with Stacey Day also out suspended.
Former Newcastle now Perth striker, Katie Gill, looms as the Jets’ biggest threat.
“It’s a good challenge for us, we need to get something this week and the girls know that, so the challenge is there for us.”
