The company behind a multi-million dollar development at Cundletown has withdrawn the application at a meeting with the Joint Regional Planning Panel.
The $11.5-million proposal would have seen the Cundle Motor Inn demolished and replaced with a five-storey hotel, service station and fast food outlets.
Taree Council recommended the Panel refuse the application on a number of grounds, including the hotel’s height.
Meeting late yesterday, the panel said it couldn’t favourably consider the application because certain aspects weren’t addressed – instead giving the developer the option of withdrawing.
