Just two days before Christmas, Brindabella has announced around 140 people will lose their jobs following the company’s collapse last week.
About a dozen will remain employed while receiver KordaMentha continues the hunt for a buyer.
Staff were told at a meeting in Canberra this morning, with one media outlet reporting that employees may have to wait three months to receive their entitlements from the Federal Government.
Moree has been provided with a relief air service courtesy of QantasLink, with flights scheduled to resume tomorrow.
