WEATHER UPDATE: HOT, HUMID AND STORMY

This is going to be one of the most active weeks we have seen for a long time as far as storm development and heat is concerned.
Humidity levels have been high and with the mercury on the rise conditions are going to become perfect for severe storm development.
It was a weekend of storms along the northern ranges, the Upper Hunter and over the NW. The storm activity will spread further across the broadcast region in the coming days before the first major heat wave of the season moves in.
It is likely that this will be the longest, hottest run the region has seen in at two years.
There has been a consistent pool of hot air sitting over central Australia and during the second half of this week the NW winds will strengthen drawing that hot air form the interior across the region.
