NORTH COMPANIONS RESIGNED TO THIRD PLACE

North Companions’ chances of making the Northern Inland Premier League top two are over, after losing 4-3 to Imperials.
The visitors opened the scoring with a shot from the spot, and it wasn’t long before their lead had doubled.
Shortly after halftime, Imperials had a three-nil advantage.
The black and whites grew hopeful as they finally scored their first of the afternoon, but a fourth goal to the Imperials sealed the result.
Despite a late flurry of goals adding some respectability to the scoreline, North Companions face a sudden death finals clash next week.
