GOLD COAST MAN RAMMED BY A UTE DURING ARGUMENT

A man has been flung through the air and hospitalised after another man rammed him with his ute on the Gold Coast overnight.
Around 11.30pm, two men were involved in an argument on Alawara Drive in Tallai, when one of the men got in his car to leave.
The other man stood in front of the car, trying to stop him.
The driver allegedly accelerated and drove directly into the man, who was thrown into the air and landed on a nature strip.
A 32 year-old man from Upper Coomera was transported to hospital for the treatment of serious injuries including internal injuries, and leg and arm fractures.
The driver, a 39-year-old Nerang man, fled the scene. He was located around 8am this morning and taken into custody. He assisting police with their enquiries.
It’s believed the pair are known to each other.
