Police believe a fire at an abandoned house in Taree was deliberately lit.
The house on Bushland Drive Racecourse, went up in flames at around 3.30 yesterday afternoon.
The fire caused significant damage and destroyed the upper floor.
No-one was injured.
Meanwhile a fire which broke out at a Taree South home last Thursday is not being treated as suspicious.
Fire crews spent an hour extinguishing the blaze, but there was little they could do to save the home.
Investigators believe an electrical fault may have caused the fire.
