One of the Gold Coast Mayor’s top advisors, has jumped ship.
Simone Holzapfel has left Tom Tate’s office, following the breakdown of her professional relationship with his Chief Of Staff, Wayne Moran.
Tomorrow, she will begin a newly formed role in the office of the CEO, Dale Dickson.
The move has shocked a former councillor.
“The buck stops with the CEO and if there is internal conflict the CEO should not be creating new positions. These positions are normally decided at budget. The entire council creates a decision to create positions.”
Ms Holzapfel was instrumental in getting Mr Tate elected.
