NBN ROLLOUT ON GOLD COAST

Reliable, super-fast internet access is now much closer to reality for some residents and businesses in central suburbs.
Today marks the start of construction of the National Broadband Network, in the first sites on the Gold Coast, covering parts of Surfers Paradise, Ashmore, Bundall and Benowa.
But the timetable has come under fire from the Federal Opposition.
“Instead of actually investing taxpayers money in new broadband infractructure in areas that need it like nerang they’re instead wasting taxpayers money by duplicating services in places like Bundall.”
It will be around 12 months before services can be accessed.
