Preparations are underway for Newcastle’s Australia Day, National Maritime Festival.
Navy minehunters, Yarra and Huon, are in port, and will be open for inspection between 11am and 3pm Saturday.
Another welcome visitor will be a restored Catalina aircraft, due to make a flypast at about one o’clock Saturday afternoon.
