Port Macquarie’s Community College has recorded a significant jump in student enrolments this year.
Newly appointed General Manager, Val Evans who was welcomed at a ceremony today, attributes the increase to a number of initiatives designed to encourage early school leavers to further their education.
“I think college has great opportunities to meet those local needs and to provide equal access to learning for all which is really important.”
Hospitality and information technology courses have proved the most popular this year.
