A man in his early 20s died in an horrific car crash in Tamworth this afternoon.
At about three o’clock, the man was driving east on Bridge Street, when his Honda Civic crossed onto the wrong side of the road and collided with a ute.
He died at the scene, while the 22-year-old ute driver escaped uninjured.
Police say they pulled the Honda driver over earlier in the afternoon, following a complaint by a member of the public.
He was submitted to a breath test, which was negative.
Detectives are investigating the incident.
