MASTERS HARDWARE STORE FOR WINDALE

Woolworths has lodged plans with Lake Macquarie Council for a $38-million hardware store and restaurant at Windale, as it goes to war with the Coles-owned Bunnings.
The company reportedly paid council $20-million for the eight-hectare site off South Street, which also attracted bids from Bunnings, and Buildev.
