A 65-year-old Gunnedah man was lucky to escape with minor injuries, after his home caught on fire overnight.
The man was semi-conscious when neighbours pulled him from the burning Bloomfield Street property.
Forensic examiners were on site today hoping to determine the cause of the fire, which is being treated as suspicious.
