SOGGY TURF SHUTS DOWN SPORT IN LISMORE

For the third weekend in a row, Lismore’s sporting fields will be closed.

Unrelenting rain has forced council to make the call – affecting a number of sporting codes and competitions scheduled to be held in the shire.

One of this weekend’s casualties is the Lismore District Cricket Association’s, Pink Stumps Day.

It was scheduled to hit off tomorrow but for the third weekend in a row has been declared a washout.
