Hunter-bred mining magnate Nathan Tinkler has told a Sydney court his empire has debts of around $500-million.
The coal entrepreneur is being questioned in the New South Wales Supreme Court about his finances, and the collapse of his company, Mulsanne Resources.
It went into liquidation late last year, after failing to pay for a stake in another company.
