Absolute disgrace someone buys a 3 million dollar penthouse and then expects someone in a single bedroom apartment to pay their fees,
Fair dinkum. Another bad decision by the LNP. Who is looking after the elderly, pensioners and retires who are facing financial ruin by this bad legislation. This Bill is for the minority LNP backers. Let’s see who can sell their units in the very near future and those that cannot. Well done penthouse and sub penthouse owners.let me know your bank details and I will direct debit my pension to you and you can see how you go living in a one bedroom unit with high levies, water rates etc etc. I will be living with my daughter in a back bedroom and diminished quality of life that I have worked for all my life. Completely disgusted with all aspects of councilors and both state and federal govenments . How could this be allowed to become the law? No wonder so many human beings despair with laws as just have been invented by the newman government to crucify the hundreds of us who ar trying to survive in a country which used to have compassion and consideration for the Mr Average.

This is the LNP treating their constituents with utter contempt…the law change was not announced prior to the election, and work on the change started soon after taking office when other matters would have had much greater priority. This undue haste to change the rules was to assist well off unit owners at the expense of pensioners, elderly widows, etc. Maintenance levies of the less well off were increased by over 40% in some cases to subsidise the levies of the penthouse owners.
Remember this disgraceful treatment of vulnerable unit owners at the next election.
