The $618-million Kempsey Bypass will open to traffic tomorrow.
The 14.5 kilometre bypass features Australia’s longest bridge, which extends 3.2 kilometres over the Macleay River and floodplain.
The project has been completed more than a year earlier than expected.
Temporary traffic measures will be put in place at Frederickton to ensure Easter holiday traffic flows smoothly.
Landscaping and the removal of construction equipment will continue for the next several weeks.
