Merewether’s Jake Sylvester has taken out the 2013 Rangi Pro Junior, beating Mitch Parkinson from the Gold Coast in solid two metre barrels in the Tuamotu atolls in French Polynesia.
The win is Sylvester’s second in a row on the ASP Australasian Pro Junior Series, backing up his victory at the season opening event at Surfest in his hometown of Newcastle.
Sylvester was unstoppable throughout the contest, consistently posting big scores with a combination of deep tubes and explosive turns.
