SOUTHS 32 – PORT STEPHENS 16

To Newcastle Rugby League and Kurri has bounced back, from a first round loss to beat Lakes by two, while Souths have made it two wins from two, beating Port Stephens 32-16.
The Sharks went close to opening the scoring when Willie Poleo was driven out.
Five eighth Chris Marlborough helped to put Souths in front, selling the dummy before teeing up Ryan Pywell.
The home side hit back when David Oaks produced a perfect grubber, as Grant Clacherty pounced.
The Sharks went close again when Bryce Jones was held up.
But it was the Lions who proved too strong, Marlborough again involved to hand Pywell a double.
