Ormeau train station was locked down last night, when a suspicious package was found on the tracks.
A train driver noticed it on the line and immediately called police.
Train services between Beenleigh and Varsity Lakes were suspended, forcing passengers onto buses.
The bomb squad spent three and a half hours inspecting the package, before declaring it safe.
