MUM MADE UP BABY ABDUCTION STORY

A teenage mum has been placed on probation, after lying about her baby’s abduction, to cover up for an accident.

The court heard, she panicked after the five month old suffered a bump to the head.

Fearing her child would be taken from her, the 18-year-old dumped her baby over a fence, beside a road, then called police, claiming it had been snatched.

The baby was quickly found, and has since recovered from a minor head injury and cuts.

“She obviously loves the child, she just had an unfortunate accident that she just handled the wrong way.”

No conviction was recorded.
