CIVIC TRIBUTES FOR TONY TAMPLIN

Member for Newcastle Tim Owen said ” It was with great regret that I heard of Senior Constable Tony Tamplin’s passing this morning.
Senior Constable Tamplin was well known and respected in the Newcastle community and will be sorely missed.”
Senior Constable Tamplin recently celebrated 35 years’ service with the NSW Police Force; dedicating a large proportion of his life to helping others.
A larger than life character, Senior Constable Tamplin had an impact on everyone he met.
“On behalf of the Newcastle community, I would like to pay tribute to the countless hours of work that Senior Constable Tamplin donated to assisting others, including charitable foundations.
My thoughts are with Senior Constable Tamplin’s family, friends and the entire NSW Police Force during this difficult time.”
I was extremely saddened today to hear the news of the sudden death of Senior Constable Tony Tamplin, Sonia Hornery MP, Member for Wallsend, said today.
“Newcastle has lost one of its best today and Tony will be missed by so many”, said Ms Hornery.
“I had the pleasure of meeting Tony on many occasions and working with him as a guest speaker at the Crime Forum I held last year”.
“He was dedicated to the Hunter community and to making the Hunter a better place to live in”, Ms Hornery said.
“My condolences go out to his wife, his children and his extended family”.
