A 21-year-old American described as one of the best extreme wheelchair athletes in the world was in Coffs Harbour today impressing locals at the Toormina Skate Park.
Aaron “Wheelz” Fotheringham teamed up with fellow Nitro Circus performer Chris “Beaver” Flemming to show what they can do in tandem.
“The first backflip was the coolest feeling ever like whoa – I just did a backflip on my wheelchair you know what I mean – so it was pretty awesome,” Aaron said.
The ramp design prevented Aaron doing a backflip today but he managed a hand stand for onlookers.
He’s promising a backflip for BCU stadium on Saturday the 11th of May.
