AGL BANS MEDIA FROM PUBLIC MEETING
The electronic media has been banned from recording a public meeting in Gloucester tomorrow night, which will discuss AGL’s coal seam gas project.
The company’s Group General Manager, Mike Moraza, accepted the invitiation to address the meeting if no live recording takes place.
AGL says, “…the communities’ interests are better served when there are not news cameras in meetings of this nature.”
The Barrington Gloucester Stroud Preservation Alliance says it disagrees with the media gag, but didn’t object to the terms in preliminary meetings, to ensure the meeting would go ahead.
It believes it’s an important opportunity for the company to hear the concerns of residents and landholders.
