An Australian Rules coach has been suspended by the AFL after allegedly grooming a 13-year-old boy online.
The 42-year-old from Coffs Harbour was arrested after police raided his home yesterday. There, they seized a computer, a mobile phone and electronic storage devices.
Police allege the man engaged in sexually explicit discussions with a detective who was pretending to be the boy.
The AFL says the man has been stood down pending the outcome of court proceedings.
“We are shocked and appalled by the allegations,” a spokesman said.
The man is appearing in Coffs Harbour Local Court today.
