In the NBN State League, Charlestown City beat Valentine, Weston edged out Lake Macquarie, while Edgeworth won a high scoring clash with Hamilton.
At Broadmeadow, Brady Parker tried to open the scoring with an audacious attempt.
Peter Haynes missed a sitter from in front, the sides remained scoreless at half time.
Koh Satake had the best chance for the Jets, his deflected free kick hit the bar.
Haynes would make up for his miss midway through the second half, he set up Chris Berlin for the opener.
Before teeing up Rhys Tippett, who ensured Broadmeadow stayed on top of the ladder.
