WOMAN GUILTY OF ANIMAL CRUELTY

[nggallery id=68]
A Hunter woman has been found guilty of animal cruelty against a horse.
The Chestnut mare is now in the care of the RSPCA, who earlier this year found the mare in a very poor condition with her ribs and hips clearly visible.
They also noted that she suffered muscle wastage.
Ms Crystal Elaine Knee of Sawyers Gully failed to appear in Cessnock Local Court yesterday but has been fined with failing to provide sufficient food or veterinary treatment to the animal.
Once in a better condition the mare will be available for adoption.
