SPECIAL OLYMPICS OPENING CEREMONY LAUNCHED

It’s being dubbed Newcastle’s time to shine, and with five months until the Special Olympics, the event is attracting some star-studded attention.

2,500 athletes and carers will call the city home in December, and there’s a big party planned for when they arrive.
