Competition is underway again at the ASP surfing world championships at Keramas in Bali.
Conditions at the famous right handed reef break played right into the hands of world Champion Joel Parkinson.
The waves in his heat were the best of the day, and he managed to just nudge out Californinan Damian Hobgood in a high scoring heat.
Mick Fanning didn’t have it quite as good though… but still made the most of the crumbling conditions to take care of fellow Australian Yadin Nicol.
Taj Burrow, Josh Kerr and Julian Wilson were the only other Aussies to progress.
