WEATHER UPDATE: GUSTY SOUTHERLY

The NW and Tablelands certainly felt Winters chill today as a cold pool passed over delivering cold, light rain which fell as snow on the higher peaks of the Northern Tablelands.

The low that delivered that cold pool while causing all the wild weather for the south NSW coast will now move east. As it makes its way to NZ a southerly burst will move quickly up the coast on Wednesday pushing the wet weather north. It will also allow a new swell to spread north as well. The tides are getting smaller but they are still big so the coastal erosion will continue.

With the southerly influence set to continue it is going to remain cold with increased wet weather building for SE QLD and NE NSW at the end of the week including the weekend.
The weekend should be mostly fine for the Hunter and NW.
