Another large rat-like creature has been found on the Central Coast, this time at Green Point.
A woman found it in her back yard after her dog had killed it.
It follows this discovery, two days ago at Wamberal beach by a group of surfers.
There has been theories the creature may be a Gambian pouch rat – but quarantine officials are still determining if it’s domestic or has originated from another country.
Members of the public are again urged to notify authorities immediately if they come across a potential pest or disease risk.
