WOMAN LOSES CONTROL OF CAR, CRASHING INTO HAMILTON HOME

An unaccompanied L plater, who recorded a positive alcohol reading, crashed into a house in Hamilton overnight.
Police allege a 20-year-old Shortland woman lost control of her car on Emerald Street, mounted the curb and crashed into the unoccupied house.
She was tested at the scene and recorded a positive alcohol reading of 0.068.
She is also alleged to have been an unaccompanied learner driver.
She will face court at a later date.
