Under 13 Northern New South Wales soccer players have had a big win, in their opening encounter against Queensland in the National Football Championships for Girls in Coffs Harbour.
They beat the Maroons eight goals to five, in the highest scoring game in today’s competition at BCU Stadium.
Hannah Burke from Kurri Kurri was a stand-out for Northern New South Wales, top scoring with a hat trick of goals.
22 teams and more than 300 girls are competing in the championships with the finals on Friday.
