CALL FOR OBJECTIONS TO MCINTYRE’S PARTY

The Australian Electoral Commission is calling for any objections to the registration of the 21st Century Australia Party.
The party, founded by motivational speaker Jamie McIntyre, says it aims to recruit 35,000 members and contest 75 Lower House seats, as well as Senate seats across the country.
The AEC has issued a notice for anyone who believes the party should not be registered under the Electoral Act to lodge an objection by August 15.
Mr McIntyre, who says he looks upon Arnold Schwarzenegger as a political mentor, plans to contest the federal seat of New England against Nationals candidate Barnaby Joyce.
