WOULD-BE INTRUDER SCARED OFF BY BOY

A would-be intruder was scared off from a Sussex Street home last night by a 13-year-old boy.
Police say the boy was home with his 10-year-old brother, when someone attempted to gain entry through a back door.
The older boy held the door closed until the person ran off.
Meantime, roof tiles were removed and a hole kicked in the ceiling of a Flemming Crescent residence some time between Sunday night and yesterday morning.
Cupboards and drawers were ransacked, with food items strewn across the floor.
