FORMER ORIGIN COACH GRAHAM MURRAY DIES

murrayrotatorTributes are flowing in for former NSW State of Origin coach Graham Murray following his death in Brisbane at the age of 58.

Murray made his mark on Newcastle with a stint in the Super League team the Hunter Mariners.

He returned years later in a coaching role for the Knights, helping with the development of young players.

Murray had been in the intensive care unit in a Brisbane hospital after suffering a suspected heart attack.

It was the second time in less than six months Murray has been in hospital after spending a week in a coma in March.

Murray emerged as a halfback for Paramatta in the late 70s, and went on to play 88 first-grade games for Parramatta and South Sydney.
