Three people were injured in a collision between two vehicles on Lambton Road at Broadmeadow early this afternoon.
An ambulance crew that happened to be in the area was soon on the scene, finding one driver trapped.
Traffic was diverted around the busy intersection, just west of the Nine Ways.
A woman suffering chest injuries was freed from her car and taken to hospital.
Two other people were treated for seatbelt injuries and shock.
